The importance of banks in the economy of a country


The bench features and differs from the generality of companies operating in the industry by the nature of its operations and its financial and operational structure. Similarly it is considered one of the key sectors in the economy, since much of the savings, investment and financing broadly channeled through it , so that its regulation is the subject of increased attention to proper operation materialize for the benefit of overall economic activity.            
Importantly, the banking system is subject to extensive and special regulation, including minimum capital requirements as a very important element.
